I can tell you all about the rich history of Smith's Floor Coverings... how it was started by my father and how we built our business on the trust and referrals from our clients. I can tell you all about our nice stores and our fleet of trucks and top-quality equipment. I can give you details about where we've been and where we plan to go. But, as the business manager, I have learned two things:

First, you are only as good as your last job. That is why we don't rest on our past and all the cool things we have to make our jobs more efficient and improve the quality of our work. I only take comfort in knowing that each job we do is the only job that matters. When trust is extended to us and we are chosen for a job, I want to return that trust with excellent service, quality, efficiency and of course, value.

Secondly, I have learned that a business with quality people who all get along and consider each other friends is the way not only to make a profit, but also the best way to work. We don't always look forward to the weekend being over, but we do enjoy working together. And a staff like that is a happy team... and a happy team is a winning team you want on your side, and floors.
